The Boundless Bible
The Boundless Bible is a podcast dedicated to discussing the many layers and perspectives the Bible offers to those interested in deepening their views and understanding.
Hosted by three friends from very different walks of life and life experiences, who've come together through curiosity of, and respect for, the living Word.
Our hosts are:
- DAVID SHAPIRO -- was born an Orthodox Jew, later an atheist, ex-military and MMA fighter, David heeded the call to Jesus and is now an ordained Pastor, specializing in Apologetics.
- JAVIER MARQUEZ -- Originally from Brooklyn, moved to LA to be an actor, and deeply found the Lord which led him to work in the church, lead Bible studies and grow his faith.
- JASON HOLLOWAY -- grew up in the church, left in college, and spent the next 2 decades immersed in learning world religion, spirituality, science, and mythology, recently returning to the Faith with renewed insight and perspective.
After a year of weekly discussions, we came to find that sharing and debating their different perspectives had become an exciting way to introduce new ideas to old thinking, grow their understanding, and strengthen their faith.
We are aware that there are many people out there who feel their questions haven't been answered, whose curiosity has been tamped down, or who just generally feel their community doesn't allow open dialogue, and our goal is to give those people a place to listen, ask questions, and engage with their curiosity to find a deeper and more robust connection to their faith.

QUICK Qs: Which Miraculous Food Would You Choose?
David asks which biblical food we'd choose to taste: manna, fish and loaves, or wedding wine from Cana, prompting a surprisingly passionate debate about divine cuisine.
• One host chooses wedding wine because Jesus made it with his own hands, creating a direct connection to Christ
• The manna appeals to our curiosity since the Bible gives limited description of this mysterious desert sustenance
• Concerns about fish temperature and preparation methods make the loaves and fishes less appealing
• Unexpected debate about whether people at the miracle were biting directly into whole fish
• Jewish host makes a connection between the biblical fish and bread and modern bagels and lox
• Bible specifically mentions the wedding wine was exceptional quality, influencing our final choices

Quick questions with David is back. Guys, we have another wonderful question from David today. What do?
Speaker 2:you got All right. If you can taste either manna, fish and loaves or wedding wine, which would it be, and why?
Speaker 1:Oh man, look, my instinct is to say manna, but I am such a foodie I wouldn't appreciate it. I'm going to go with the wedding wine only because Jesus made that with his own hands. I'm going with that. It's less about the wine, it's more about the connection to Jesus there. So that's my quick answer.
Speaker 2:Okay, okay, yeah, I'm going to go with your impulse and mine is manna. I just you know, obviously, growing up Jewish and reading about the Exodus story and the manna is just something that I, you know. It sustained them and I'm going. What did this taste? Like? The most dry, protein filled bread ever, where it's full of protein and carbs and I'm just hard to chew it down. Or did God make it taste pretty good? And was it a little bit salty, a little bit? I don't know. I just think there's not a whole lot of description on the taste of manna, so I'd love to see what that tastes like. Totally agree.
Speaker 3:I'm going to go with the process of elimination here and it's kind of easy, Plus, also obvious it's going to be the wine. I say that because manna in the desert, I don't know, that sounds horrible.
Speaker 1:That's true.
Speaker 3:Fish in loaves. I mean, my fish has to be cold. I can imagine it was just kind of like hot in these baskets and they're going around. I don't know if we would have tasted that well but. But the bible does say the wine was like one of the best wine anyone could ever taste or something like that. You know so I would say it would be the wine just because of flavor and the bible does says it did taste really good there you have it, folks.
Speaker 2:I don't want to glaze over, but did you just say you only like cold fish? You, you don't like hot fish.
Speaker 3:No, what I mean is like Not room temperature fish. I could imagine they didn't grill this fish. I mean, it's just fish. And probably still had a scale on it and all that stuff. So I just it kind of grosses me out a little bit.
Speaker 1:That's the way I picture it too. I picture people like and I never thought about it until now, but I've always pictured people just like taking a bite out of a fish.
Speaker 3:I don't know why. What a ridiculous image. Like a fish and just loaves Like ah.
Speaker 1:thank you, yeah, and they're like one in each hand.
Speaker 2:All right, you guys have obviously never been to a Jewish breakfast Never when it's the bagels and lox. And I'm saying you have loaves and fish, you have bag bagels and lox right there. Um, that's a whole different story that's a whole different story.
Speaker 1:You can be bagels and lox and we're gonna talk, yeah, for sure but okay yeah so, guys, there you have it. We are picky eaters and we we know what we want all right, so until next week, guys. See you later, bye bye you.
