The Boundless Bible
The Boundless Bible is a podcast dedicated to discussing the many layers and perspectives the Bible offers to those interested in deepening their views and understanding.
Hosted by three friends from very different walks of life and life experiences, who've come together through curiosity of, and respect for, the living Word.
Our hosts are:
- DAVID SHAPIRO -- was born an Orthodox Jew, later an atheist, ex-military and MMA fighter, David heeded the call to Jesus and is now an ordained Pastor, specializing in Apologetics.
- JAVIER MARQUEZ -- Originally from Brooklyn, moved to LA to be an actor, and deeply found the Lord which led him to work in the church, lead Bible studies and grow his faith.
- JASON HOLLOWAY -- grew up in the church, left in college, and spent the next 2 decades immersed in learning world religion, spirituality, science, and mythology, recently returning to the Faith with renewed insight and perspective.
After a year of weekly discussions, we came to find that sharing and debating their different perspectives had become an exciting way to introduce new ideas to old thinking, grow their understanding, and strengthen their faith.
We are aware that there are many people out there who feel their questions haven't been answered, whose curiosity has been tamped down, or who just generally feel their community doesn't allow open dialogue, and our goal is to give those people a place to listen, ask questions, and engage with their curiosity to find a deeper and more robust connection to their faith.

QUICK Qs: Which Apostle Would You Choose as a Road Trip Companion
The hosts of Boundless Bible engage in a lighthearted discussion about which disciple they would choose as a road trip companion, revealing insights about Biblical personalities and their own connections to these historical figures.
• Unanimous agreement that Thomas would make the worst travel companion due to his doubting nature
• Javi selects John because he was present at significant moments in Jesus's ministry and truly loved Jesus
• David chooses Simon the Zealot for potential conversations about combat and training
• Jason picks Paul (though not technically one of the twelve) for his travel experience and theological importance
• Playful banter about each disciple's personality and how it would manifest during a road trip
• Discussion reveals how Biblical figures can become more relatable through modern scenarios

Welcome to the Boundless Bible. My name is David Shapiro, hey, I'm Javi Marquez and I'm Jason Holloway.
Jason:Quick questions with David. We are back, david, what do you got?
David:for this week. Which disciple if you were going to take a road trip, which disciple would you road trip with?
Jason:Oh man, Javi, who would you trip with?
Javi:I know the first thing I said was not Peter. Peter the rock, the stubborn, the tough one, and a lot of it now coming from watching the Chosen man. He's a tough one. I wouldn't go with, Thomas, I think.
Jason:I would have, I wouldn't go with Thomas. I wouldn't go with Thomas because he would doubt his directions the whole time.
Javi:That's funny. I would have to pick, probably John. I would have to go with John. John is a person that truly loves Jesus, that wanted to be by his side the whole time, and just I would love to ask him questions and I know he was there for a lot of the the big like really interesting moments, like the transfiguration and Jesus at at the Gethsemane, right Before he was he was taken. So John would be the one I would ask. Uh, I would ask to go on a road trip with me. That way I could pick his brain.
Jason:Solid.
David:David asked to go on the road trip with me. That way I could pick his brain solid. David, who are you going with? Mine's gonna be easy, it's, it's no, uh, no. Shocker would be simon the zealot, anybody who's trained in combat and violence, and we would just have this conversation about my training and his training, and it would just be a a wonderful car trip of non-stop conversation about action.
David:So for me, simon the zealot, but I do agree that Thomas would be the absolute worst one yeah, questioning every moment, you know, are we going the right way? Are we there yet? Are we? We're really not there yet, and just it would. It would absolutely drive me nuts, but I'm going with Simon.
Jason:If I haven't seen the destination, is there? Is what?
Jason:he would say, um, I'm, I'm going with. I don't know if paul counts, but I'm going with paul because that guy went everywhere, so he already knows his way around. Uh, and you know what paul paul is. Paul has a lot of criticizers and he has a lot of people who have a lot to say about him, but he is such an important character and he's such an important person in the faith he's such an important person and in you know, I want to know what he was really about, so I'd want to like ask him a hundred questions in the car. So that's who I'd go for.
David:You know you'd go everywhere with him, but you'd also be arrested everywhere with him. So everywhere you go, you'd be in jail as well.
Javi:That's the other one. That's fair. That's the other one I was like I wouldn't want to go over with him, paul or peter but, um yeah, but he has a good way of getting out, so what are you gonna?
Jason:do so all right, guys, join us next week, as we have some more quick questions. Talk to you then, bye have a blessed week.
